RTS’ directors meet with the Colombian and Mexican insurance market

- Grupo RTS’ Executive Directors visited Bogota and Mexico City to learn first-hand about developments on their insurance markets, their challenges and needs.
- In Colombia, an important reinsurance hub in Latin America, RTS brought together numerous members of the sector, who learnt first hand about the Group’s extensive international experience.
The Executive Directors of RTS International Loss Adjusters, the international corporate group that has been providing appraisal and loss adjustment services since 1989 and that is present in Spain, Portugal and Latin America, made its annual institutional trip, in this instance to Colombia, Mexico and Miami.
Taking advantage of the visit, RTS brought together in Bogota the most important members of the main insurers, brokers and professional bodies in the insurance market, who learnt first hand about RTS’ global experience, especially in the handling of Catastrophic (CAT) Claims. The exponential growth of the Group, which now has a significant network of own offices in Latin America (14) and four associate offices, was a point of great interest to the participants.
Juan Uribe, the General Director for North LATAM and the Caribbean Region, welcomed the attendees and presented the RTS Team in Colombia, led by Luis Ricardo Báez, the RTS Director in the country. Currently, Grupo RTS’s team in Colombia is formed by more than 25 professionals, spread almost all over the country, with 6 own offices (Barranquilla, Medellin, Cali, Bucaramanga, Pereira and Bogota).
During the session, they had a chance to discuss current cases in the sector with the market players and clients involved in those cases. Juan Ferrer, a renowned speaker and coach specializing in managing change in companies, concluded the conference with an interesting discussion on how to promote synergies between the different actors on the insurance market.
During the Directors’ stay in Mexico, RTS also had the chance to meet with prominent members of the sector during a casual meeting organized by Juan Miguel Álvarez, RTS Director in the country, in which they held interesting debates on current matters in the sector such as “Liability in Cyber Risks” or “Prevention for the CAT season”.
